AI sensor processing

AI algorithms process the raw data from radar and camera in order to generate automatic detections of vessels and maritime objects. Smart object tracking allows to keep track of moving objects.

The intelligent solution

SENSOR FUSION

The solution intelligently applies sensor fusion at different levels:

Hybrid sensing: combine different types of sensors (radar, camera, AIS) as no single will see it all.
Multi-domain sensing: above and below the sea level
Multiple sensors at different locations (eg the turbines one the outer perimeter of a windfarm) are all combined

Stationary, mobile and wireless deployment options

FLEXIBLE DEPLOYmENT

All individual sensor modules feature local edge processing of raw sensor data so only the detected objects need to be communicated (wired or wireless network).
Moreover, stationary infrastructure-based sensing units can be combined with mobile sensors deployed on both crewed vessels (VISOR - Captain Assistance) and uncrewed vessels (AYB - Automate Your Boat) resulting in an extensive and complete operational picture with an adaptive operational range.

CLOUD Integration

All objects detected by the individual sensor nodes are being aggregated and fused in the dotOcean Cloud and visualized to the operator in an integrated and intuitive web UI. Automatic alerts can be programmed based on specific behavior (e.g. Geofence intrusion, vessel without AIS, ...). Operators can access live and historical radar, video or audio feeds in order to verify a detected threat.
